Comprehensive Eye Care
Did you know that many eye diseases have no obvious signs or symptoms? As a result, people are often unaware that they have any eye disease or problems. Early diagnosis and treatment of eye disease and vision problems is important to maintain good vision and eye health, and when possible, preventing vision loss.
A comprehensive eye exam also includes establishing or updating a prescription for eyeglasses.
Dr. Bush will use well-established testing, techniques, and state-of-the-art technology to assess your eye health and determine the most effective plan for your visual needs. Dr. Bush provides comprehensive eye exams for all members of the family.
Contact Lens Exam
Whether you currently wear contact lenses or would like to try wearing contact lenses, you’ll need a contact lens exam in addition to the comprehensive eye exam.
Dr. Bush will perform a series of tests during a contact lens exam to assess your vision with contact lenses and determine the size and type of contact lenses best suited for your eyes. Dr. Bush may also perform a tear film evaluation to ensure your eyes produce enough tears so that you can be comfortable while wearing contact lenses.
If he determines contact lenses are a good fit for you, he will then provide you with a prescription for contact lenses. Prescriptions for eyeglasses are much different than prescriptions for contact lenses because an eyeglass prescription is for lenses that are positioned about 12 millimeters from your eyes, and a contact lens prescription measures for lenses which sit directly on the surface of your eyes. Contact lenses which don’t fit can damage the health of your eyes.
Dr. Bush will also recommend specific brands and modalities, or types, of contact lenses based on your visual needs and eye health. He may provide a pair of trial contact lenses for you to try and then schedule a follow-up exam to ensure you’re adjusting to your new contact lenses.

Lasik
Have you ever wondered about LASIK and whether it’s right for you?
Laser eye surgery is a popular, common, safe, and effective way to achieve clear and comfortable vision without the use of eyeglasses or contact lenses. The procedure only takes minutes to perform and can be very liberating as you no longer need vision correction. Swimming, exercising, camping, or simply watching television without the need for contact lenses or eyeglasses has some appeal!
Dr. Blake Bush can consult with you about LASIK, answer questions you may have about permanent vision correction, and provide a plan based on your needs and goals.
LipiFlow Technology
LipiFlow is a thermal pulsation device that is made to remove blockages from the meibmomian glands and allow them to function properly and produce the oils that make up the top protective lipid layer of the tear film. LipiFlow helps reduce the effects of dry eyes. Most patients have described it as being like a gentle massage for your eyelids.
It was also designed to minimize discomfort and is a 12 minute long treatment. Quick, easy and comfortable!
